About the Songwriter

Joe has been playing music and writing songs for most of his adult
life. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York listening to Jimi Hendrix
and began his music career playing in hard rock bands. Over time,
Joe's music evolved to original acoustic folk-rock songs about
politics, social issues and an on-going struggle with space and
time.
His debut album "Some Other Soul" was released in 2004; a second release, "Not What You Say" was released late 2005. A Maryland resident since 1987, Joe is a former Vice President and board member of the Baltimore Songwriters Association (BSA).
His first single, "One More Time" can be heard on the BSA Compilation CD "Songs From Our Circle TOO" and has been played on listener supported radio stations including the WETA (Washington, DC) Traditions program and the WTMD (Towson University, Towson, Maryland) Detours program
The song "In The End" from his CD "Not What You Say" was featured on the BSA Compilation CD, "Songs From Our Circle, 4".
His song "Water Rites" was selected for the 2007 juried CD "Songs From A Charmed City".
Joe is currently working on his next EP, "Behind The Sign" scheduled for release in the Fall 2010.
